Mountain Tour

Approximately 30-40 minutes with about 1/3 engine on climb to altitude and 2/3 gliding back to the landing. Climb to altitude (weather dependant) near the surrounding peaks and view the stunning alpine scenery. This tour reveals the beautiful vistas unfolding around Nelson and Kootenay Lake. After the engine is shut down the prop is feathered flat and the Diamond transforms from airplane to glider. You will hear the sound of wind and experience the true gravity sport of soaring. If conditions allow you may be able to climb higher using the natural thermals and air currents. *All tours pay carbon offsets with less.ca for the few litres of fuel used.
